TubeToMarket

YouTube API Compliance

How TubeToMarket uses the YouTube Data API and how we comply with Google's policies.

What we access

  • TubeToMarket uses the YouTube Data API to search public videos and retrieve publicly available metadata and statistics (titles, descriptions, view counts, comment counts, channel names, publication dates, and thumbnails).
  • For user-requested comment tracking, it may retrieve public comment and thread data (like counts, reply counts) for specific comments the user has manually posted and opted to track.

Intended use

TubeToMarket is intended for contextual research and manual founder outreach. It helps users identify relevant public YouTube videos, understand why a video may fit their product, and draft optional comment ideas for human review. It is not for spam, mass commenting, auto-commenting, or engagement manipulation.

What we do not do

  • Does not post to YouTube. TubeToMarket does not post, edit, delete, or submit any content to YouTube on behalf of users.
  • Does not automate comments. Comment drafts are generated for human review. Users copy, edit, and post manually outside the app.
  • Does not scrape YouTube through the YouTube API integration. YouTube API Data described on this page is retrieved through the official YouTube Data API. TubeToMarket also uses SerpAPI as a fallback public-search discovery provider, disclosed in our Terms and Privacy Policy.
  • Does not bypass YouTube rate limits. API usage respects quota limits and does not attempt to circumvent them.
  • Does not sell YouTube API data. Data retrieved from the YouTube Data API is used to provide the TubeToMarket service and is not sold, rented, or shared for independent third-party use. Limited YouTube metadata may be processed by service providers such as OpenAI solely to provide scoring and drafting features disclosed in our Privacy Policy.
  • Does not manipulate engagement. TubeToMarket does not inflate views, likes, comments, subscribers, or any other YouTube engagement metric.

User responsibilities

  • Users manually review, edit, and post comments outside of TubeToMarket. The app provides drafts as starting points only.
  • Users must comply with the YouTube Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws when posting.

Data retention

  • Campaign-linked YouTube metadata (titles, descriptions, statistics, and thumbnail URLs) is stored while a campaign is active and refreshed up to twice daily for subscribed accounts.
  • Recent search-result cache entries expire after 24 hours; broad or evergreen search caches can be retained for up to 7 days by default. Shared video metadata may be reused from cache while fresh for up to 30 days and is refreshed on a rolling basis while referenced by an active campaign.
  • When a campaign has been deactivated or inactive for 90 days, its stored opportunities and unreferenced shared video metadata are deleted automatically. Thumbnails are always displayed by URL from YouTube's CDN; we do not host thumbnail image files.

Data deletion and privacy requests

Users can deactivate individual campaigns in the app. Deactivation stops future refreshes but is not permanent campaign deletion. The only in-app way to permanently delete campaign records is to delete the entire account from Settings. For privacy requests, contact [email protected]. Account deletion removes TubeToMarket-controlled campaign data, opportunities, comment drafts, tracked placements, and triggers cleanup of unreferenced YouTube API cache rows, including shared search cache and video metadata no longer linked to any user. Account deletion is immediate and non-recoverable.
